Tablet Coating Systems - Tablet Press - Tablet Tooling
SUCCESSFUL ACHEMA
ACHEMA 2009 HAILED A HUGE SUCCESS FOR OYSTAR MANESTY
OYSTAR Manesty once again showcased an impressive range of innovations and services at ACHEMA in Frankfurt, Germany, resulting in orders for three tablet coating machines with more to follow in the coming months.
Of particular interest was the new development AccuSpray™ which is a unique and patented tablet press external lubrication system which significantly reduces magnesium stearate concentrations from an average of 100 g per production hour to as little as 4 g. Magnesium stearate is added to granules to act as a lubricant and prevent the material sticking to the tools. A patented high-speed piezoelectric pump ensures exact metering of the substance and keeps production rates constant. Analytical measurements show that the magnesium film completely encloses the tablets. This film comprises only 0.03% of the tablet weight.
Another new development at ACHEMA was NanoTrust® which is a unique technology in which product and batch information is covertly embedded into tablets in a way that is impossible to reproduce. There are areas where counterfeit products slip into the system and a particularly vulnerable area is when goods are repackaged. NanoTrust® offers brand protection technology for both drug and package which will enable manufacturers, retail distributors and pharmacists to provide and authenticate forensic level signatures integrated with a complete brand protection system, and is impossible to copy.
Also on display was the new Xpress® Wash in Place system which cleans all substrates from the press with the capability of using different water types, detergents or foam. Residual material is removed from the feeder and flushed automatically reducing cleaning time. The unique stepped cabinet design combined with a unique machine tilting mechanism reduces the complexity of components to be cleaned and offers a natural drainage ensuring easy completion of the cleaning regime. The introduction of a novel one-piece die table also simplifies the cleaning and the WiP sequence may also be linked to the cleaning of ancillary equipment such as dedusters and in-process control units.
The new XSpress drew lots of interest. This 4 to 10 stations press is the new generation of R&D rotary press providing R&D users with advanced instrumentation which allows customers to study compression key data. The XSpress has been designed to conform to cGMP with its wipe clean surfaces and stainless steel components. Mounted on wheels, this flexible press can be easily moved to a production zone to manufacture small production batches.
You will find virtually every Process and Packaging solution and/or Machines for your requirements.
